About Sharad

My name is Sharad and I’m currently a student at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA, studying Electrical Engineering (I think this should read: studying to be an Electrical Engineer, but you get the point, don’t you). I really enjoy writing, however, I have mostly written on paper till now. I guess this is going to be my transition to the electronic media, mainly because of the entire ’save the planet frenzy’ that has has gripped the entire planet, and it really makes me want to save paper; but really, I have decided to start writing/blogging and do the whole ‘online presence’ thing because I believe that this media has the power to change the world: it shares our stories, it drives culture, it shapes our lives, and I want to exploit it to put my ideas/thoughts out in the open.

There isn’t really much to me; but in the event you want to really know more, I’ll give a brief synopsis. I was born in India, in 1990. I have a really great loving family. I have moved around a lot, and so I really know a lot of random things that I occasionally blabber about. I go to school in Atlanta, however I currently stay in Qatar. I absolutely love photography and I read a lot, and watch a lot of contemporary cinema. I am an avid soccer fan and I really don’t get it why people in the United States don’t use soccer and football as interchangeable terms. I am into social justice and human rights issues because I feel strongly about the causes like hunger and poverty, mostly because I think that we all as individuals can change the future, be it reversing climate change or making poverty history.

Also, I really believe in what I write about, however I respect the different opinions others might have, so please feel free to leave comments where you feel they are necessary.
